Health promotion and disease prevention
Research in the area of curative and preventive efforts is interdisciplinary and comprises epidemiological dental services and intervention research
This field of research aims to develop knowledge concerning viable and effective methods for prevention and treatment of oral diseases and is of both national and international scope. The area of research is interdisciplinary, and one goal is to generate knowledge that can contribute to describing, explaining and influencing factors relevant to dental health.
Key words for important priority areas in this field are epidemiology, health services research, behavioural research, development of preventive methods, hesitancy to seek dental treatment and risk groups.
