After a long wait, the borders opened this summer and we were able to welcome Erasmus students at our lab again. This summer, the biomaterials lab was taken over by our French summer interns.
We are not only hosting visiting students but we also send some of our students out in to the world to experience new things. Like Florian is currently doing in Australia.
Summers at our lab are never quiet - thanks to our hardworking summer students. This summer, the biomaterials lab was kept busy by Dmytro and Nora.
Zhu Hao from Huazhong University of Science and Technology joined our group for one and a half years to teach us about Chinese traditions and cuisine (and do a bit of science at the side).
Torben Hildebrand from University of Hanover joined our group for five months to perform high-resolution 3D x-ray imaging of tooth structures.
Jean-Baptiste Sourbets from Polytech Nantes joined our group this summer to investigate the effect of cation doping on TiO2 scaffold properties.
Marc Amrit Schober from University of North Texas joined our group this summer to learn a bit more about biomaterials and cell biology.
Javier Sanz Esporrin from Complutense University of Madrid joined our group for three months to learn more about micro- and nanoCT imaging.
Francisco Romero Gavilán from Universitat Jaume I in Spain joined our group for three months to learn more about protein adsorption on biomaterials.
