Interdisciplinary Researcher Project (Fellesløft IV) - postponed to 2021

The Research Council of Norway has pre-announced a Large-scale Interdisciplinary Researcher Project to shift the research front through multidisciplinary projects with large-scale grants.

The projects are funded through Fellesløft IV, which involves cooperation on funding from the Research Council (FRIPRO) and the research organizations concerned.

The researchers in the project must represent two or more different scientific groups as defined at level 2 in the Norwegian division of science disciplines. Together, these researchers will generate new knowledge that would not have been possible to obtain without interdisciplinary collaboration.

Topics for the Call:

Funding under this call is available for projects within all disciplines and research areas.

Eligibility:

  • The call is open to applications from Norwegian universities, colleges, research institutes, and health agencies that are on the list of approved Norwegian research organizations.
  • Applicants must have obtained a doctorate or equivalent before the application deadline.
  • Applicants must have demonstrated the ability to conduct research of high scientific quality.
  • The projects will be interdisciplinary and include collaboration between researchers from different disciplines.

Funding:

Support limits: NOK 12 000 000-25 000 000. Only 50% will be covered by the Research Council. The other 50% will be covered by the Host institution. At UiO the own funding will be a joint effort between the central level, faculties, and institutes.
