The Norwegian Cancer Society encourages institutions within medicine and health sciences, epidemiology, public health, social sciences, health and social economics, psychology / behavioral research to apply for funding for research that can contribute to preventing cancer, improve public health and reduce health inequalities.
Applications with a clear cancer prevention relevance are welcome, and we particularly welcome proposals with a focus on primary or secondary prevention.
Funding
Applicants may request up to NOK 5 million and projects may have a duration of 1 to 4 years. The Norwegian Cancer Society do not cover overhead costs.
What is funded
The proposal may include one or more of the following (see Application Guidelines/Terminology and definitions):
- Researcher positions
- Postdoctoral researchers
- Ph.D. candidates
- Technical positions
- Associated running costs
Eligibility
The project manager must have a Ph.D. or equivalent qualification. Project managers that already have active grants from the society are not excluded from applying.
