The meeting, taking place from 9–14 August 2026, marks an important milestone for the international collaboration. Throughout the week, participants will engage in scientific keynote lectures, laboratory visits, partner presentations, mobility planning workshops and networking activities in both Oslo and Ålesund.

"After months of planning, I am delighted that we are finally able to gather all LIMES partners in Norway. This meeting will strengthen our scientific collaboration and help us build lasting relationships between researchers, students and institutions across our partner countries," says Professor Håvard J. Haugen, project leader of LIMES at the University of Oslo.

The programme features keynote lectures from leading researchers representing the University of Oslo, Nagoya University, Dongguk University and Edo State University. Participants will explore current challenges and opportunities related to microbial adhesion, biomaterials and metal surface interactions, while also discussing future research collaborations and educational activities.
