Optical profilometer

Sensofar S neox

The Sensofar S neox non-contact 3D surface profiler can be used for a multitude of operations in the field of surface analysis. Designed as a high-performance 3D optical profiler from the outset, S neox outperforms all existing optical profilers, combining 3 techniques – confocal (best for surfaces with high slope), interferometry (yields the highest vertical resolution) and Focus Variation (measure shape in mere seconds) – in the same sensor head without any moving parts. It is suitable for obtaining fast non-invasive assessment of the micro- and nano- geometry of technical surfaces. You can now choose between standard microscope imaging, confocal imaging and profiling, PSI (Phase- Shift Interferometry) and VSI (Vertical Scanning Interferometry) on one single instrument. With the advanced software Sensomap a variety of surface parameters can be extracted from measurements. Topographical and morphological surface parameter can be extracted as well as step height measurements. Furthermore the software provides possibilites to create 3D surface images for visualization.

The instrument features the following parameters:

  • Non-contact 3D measurements with confocal and interferometry techniques
  • High range of magnification (from 2.5X to 100X)
  • Red, green, blue and white LED light source
  • Sub-nanometer resolution
  • Z measurement range from 0.1 nm to 25 mm
