The Faculty of Dentistry is an educational institution where treatment is mainly performed by students under the supervision of dentists.

The Department of Periodontology is responsible for periodontal treatment at all levels. Complicated or more advanced cases may be treated by qualified dentists undergoing specialist training in periodontics. Systematic periodontal treatment requires a thorough preliminary examination with x-rays and clinical parameters, information on the disease and potential consequences, and guidance on patient self-treatment before a treatment plan is finalised.

If you would like to learn more about your personal condition concerning periodontitis, you can contact the Department of Periodontology for a consultation.
