The three-day event kicked off with an Industry Day, organised in partnership with Waygate Technologies, a global leader in non-destructive testing. Participants explored X-ray computed tomography (CT) advancements, highlighting industrial inspection cases and innovative technological developments.
Following Industry Day, the Scientific Days were held in collaboration with the EXCITE Network, a consortium dedicated to fostering innovation and research in electron and X-ray microscopy. Attendees benefited from hands-on software training sessions, discussions on multiscale imaging challenges, and insights into novel techniques under the EXCITE2 initiative. Presentations from international partners and users further enriched the learning experience.

In addition to the intensive scientific agenda, participants enjoyed vibrant social evenings showcasing Brno's historical and cultural heritage. Highlights included an engaging icebreaker event at the Technical Museum Brno and a social evening at StarĂ¡ Radnice (Old Town Hall), complete with panoramic city views and traditional Czech music.
The event concluded with informative excursions to renowned electron microscope companies based in Brno, such as Thermo Fisher Scientific, Delong Instruments, and Tescan. These excursions provided a practical connection between theoretical insights and industrial applications.
Liebert and Torben's participation in the workshop underscores the Department of Biomaterials' commitment to staying at the forefront of imaging technologies, further enhancing our research capabilities and international collaborations.

We appreciate CEITEC for organising this event, fostering meaningful connections, and advancing the field of multi-scale imaging.
