Earlier this week, Enrique and Inger Thea participated in a three-day workshop at Kringler Gjestegård to refine their scientific communication skills. Upon arrival, they delved into methods for quickly capturing an audience’s attention, guided by workshop leader Stephan van Duin.
Over the following day, Liesbeth Smit provided valuable insights into poster design, covering common mistakes and offering practical advice on creating visually appealing and informative materials. During the workshop, participants had the chance to work on both their posters and an effective “pitch” that would instantly engage listeners. On the final day, everyone came together for a group session where they presented their refined work and received detailed feedback, paving the way for further improvement. Despite the intensive schedule, there was ample time to enjoy delicious, locally sourced meals and build camaraderie through lively conversations.
Sincere thanks go to Digital Life for facilitating this enriching experience, and special recognition to Stephan van Duin and Liesbeth Smit for leading such a dynamic, productive series of sessions.
