The Bone Research Symposium 2025 took place on November 13th at Domus Bibliotheca . The event addressed current gaps in osteoporosis treatment and brought forward new research on bone, inflammation, and implant-related biology. The symposium was co-organized by us and featured both public engagement and high-level scientific presentations.
The Department of Biomaterials was proud to participate in the Benforskningssymposiet 2024 on November 14 at the picturesque Voksenåsen Conference Center. This annual symposium serves as a vital platform for Norwegian researchers, bringing together experts to share knowledge, discuss advancements, and strengthen the connection between scientific research and clinical practice in bone health.
We congratulate Ingvild on receiving the best "Clinical Innovations in Implant Dentistry" award at Milan's European Association for Osseointegration (EAO) congress. Ingvild's winning presentation highlighted the development of a new synthetic bone graft material made from titanium dioxide. This collaborative effort has been ongoing for many years and has involved many from our lab.
Maria H Pham has publicly defended her doctoral dissertation Cellular responses to fluoride modified titanium surfaces. Department of Biomaterials congratulates Maria on her great achievement!
