The Faculty of Dentistry is an educational institution where treatment is mainly performed by students under the supervision of dentists.

Complicated or more advanced cases may be treated by qualified dentists undergoing specialist training in periodontics. Systematic treatment of periodontitis will require a thorough preliminary examination with x-rays of the teeth and jaw, information on the disease and possible consequences, and guidance on patient self-treatment before a treatment plan can be finalised.

If you would like to learn more about your personal condition with respect to periodontitis, you can contact the section of Periodontology for a free consultation.
