In collaboration with national and international colleagues, I want to contribute to improving the situation for patients suffering from oral diseases in general, and from salivary gland disease in particular, through increased clinical awareness, accurate diagnosis, and better treatment aimed at improving oral health, thus elevating the patients´ general health related quality of life.
A particular aim is to elucidate biomarkers for Sjögren’s sydrome using advanced investigations of saliva, tears and salivary glands from these patients.
