Bone Augmentation for Partially Edentulous Jaws

Duration
02.05.2025–02.05.2035

This study aims to compare and analyse the effectiveness of xenograft and autologous bone grafts in bone augmentation procedures for patients requiring dental implants in a clinical setting, with the goal of advancing dental research and improving patient care.

By comparing the outcomes, this study aims to develop treatment protocols that prioritise reduced invasiveness/tissue damage, while also increasing efficiency. Understanding which graft material provides better osseointegration could lead to more streamlined procedures, benefiting both clinicians and patients. Furthermore, we aim to assess their effectiveness in achieving optimal results in bone augmentation procedures using dental implants and biomaterials in the study.

The uniqueness of this study lies in its use of a split-mouth model and advanced digital technologies for data collection and analysis, which may provide more accurate and comprehensive insights into the comparative effectiveness of xenograft and autologous bone grafts. The purpose of the research project is to verify and establish a surgical method as well as to utilise biomaterials for individuals with partially edentulous jaws.
