Goals and Desired Outcomes
-
Achieving a better understanding of how to create a learning assistant using LLMs with a focus on how such an assistant affects and conditions students' learning opportunities and teachers' teaching repertoires.
-
Helping students utilize such technology to enhance their learning.
-
Encouraging students to develop critical reflection around using such technology to enhance their learning.
-
Supporting experience exchange across UiO faculties and increasing the usefulness of such exchanges, for instance, using this project as a basis for creating similar learning assistants in other subjects.
Timeline
The project consists of three phases:
-
Fall semester 2024: Development and testing of prototypes and possible improvements.
-
Spring semester and fall semester 2025: Integration of the lear
